End Of 2009 -- 12-2-09

This year has been absolutley great! We released our debut album in March, we played some amazing shows with amazing bands, and met some pretty cool people. There are a ton of people to thank so this is a general thank you to all who helped and supported us this year, THANK YOU! Our last show of this year was 11-28-09 but dont worry, we will be back early next year and ready to rock your face off. We our working on some new material and hopefully getting some recording down soon so be on the look-out for that. We will release new songs at shows little by little so be sure to come out when we play in your area! We thank you all for a wonderful year and hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you in 2010!

 

My 89x House Band Battle -- 10-19-09

This Battle that we are in is a little bit more interesting then the others. The winner gets to represent 89x in 2010. Theres some sweet venues and events we would get to play as well. We won the wild card in round one at TNT's on 15 mile and Harper so we advance to semi finals. We need all your votes to move to the finals. To vote, you have to show up at TNT's on November 12th, 2009 for our semi finals round. The more votes we get the better. 89X Whitney Garden Party -- 8-20-09

The ghosts at The Whitney do NOT like our music and let me tell you why. Last year we were scheduled to play the Whitney and it was cancelled, No big deal. We were then asked to play again this year but the one day of the year were it has to storm like there no tomorrow was the day we were scheduled. Since we play outside, it was cancelled and re-scheduled for 8-20-09. Now here's the funny thing, IT STORMED AGAIN!! Show cancelled for the 3rd time in a row! So now I'm convinced it was not meant to be.


CD RELEASE -- 4-30-09

After a long 2 years of stop and go recording, our self titled debut is finally here. We recently had our CD release show at the Hayloft in Mount Clemens and I can honestly say it was a big success. We had a blast in this whole process and to top it off, our release show was awesome!! Thanks to all of our fans who have supported us in every way! We look forward to the future and we hope you do to.

We had a lot of bad things happen right before our CD release show and let me give you the short story real quick... Ok, after making the last few finishing touches and review it again and again for duplication, we send it off for production. So we get to the place which I will leave out the name, lets just call it NCC, and we review our proofs and get everything set for printing. Now just remember we had signed off on proofs the way they said they were going to look. So they gave us a date they will have them done by and we were all set to go, we thought. We get a call 3 days before our CD release show saying they were done and ready for pick up, sweet!! We go pick them up, open up a box to check them out and the first thing we see is the artwork is all messed up. Then we open up a CD and pop it in the car and tracks 7 though 13 have no audio!!! Now we are pissed. We go back in and explain to them this is not what we signed off on as far as the artwork and WTF happen to the audio? Mind you now our release date is in 3 days and it took a little over 2 weeks to get these done so we are panicing a bit. They said they would take care of it and get us enough for our release show. Ok we will give them one more chance and see what they can do. We got them and everything seemed to be fine until someone had brought to our attention that when they got a CD there was no disc in it. Now we have a problem, we had to check all the CD's to see if any other's were missing and we found a bunch. So we call NCC and they look in the back of their shop were they do there magic and guess what, there's a stack of our disc's. Now where the hell is the quality control? You would think that after fixing their mistake once they would make sure that it would not happen again so we don't come back. We will NEVER work with them again and I hope if anyone goes there that it wont happen to them.
